ALPE consulting began a new project together with Company CJSC MEVI-RUS owing the All-Russian shop network “Empire of Bags”.

CJSC MEVI-RUS is the largest Russian manufacturer and supplier of leather goods.

Areas of company work are:

• Production of leather goods;
• Wholesale trade of leather goods by domestic and foreign manufacturers;
• Wholesale trade of materials and accessories for bag production;
• Retail trade via the shop network “EMPIRE OF BAGS”.

CJSC MEVI-RUS uses all available possibilities for passing to a qualitatively new level and for faster growth.

The new office and warehouse complex uses one of the latest technologies of goods storage and processing and information, perfect warehouse and logistics programs are used. CJSC MEVI-RUS was the first of large operators on the Russian leather goods market to use the complex resource management system SAP R/3.

From February 24 till March 9 employees of LLC ALPE Consulting performed audit of business processes implemented in SAP R/3. The audit removed several problems vital for the company, a decision on modifying the existing system and bringing it to compliance with the enterprise business processes was made, and a system of measures aimed at expanding the system functionality was determined.

The program of measures is conventionally subdivided into two implemented projects: a medium-term program aimed at modifying the enterprise’s existing business processes and a long-term program which is a complex of activities in reflecting the new business processes in the system.

At present, the dates and aims were determined for the first stage of implementing the complex of activities aimed at modifying the business processes at the enterprise (medium-term program of activities). The team consisting of consultants from LLC ALPE Consulting and CJSC MEVI-RUS is involved in solving problems on the given topic. The planned date of work completion is June 2010.

Realization of the second stage of the medium-term program of activities will begin in July 2010. The planned date of work completion is October 2010.
